Santa Ana protest demands justice for those murdered by ICE.

Santa Ana, CA – On Saturday, February 7, Santa Ana residents gathered to honor the one-month anniversary of the murder of Renee Good by Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) agent Jonathon Ross. The demonstration highlighted other victims murdered by ICE including Keith Porter, Alex Pretti, Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez and Geraldo Lunas Campos.

Vigil for those murdered by ICE.

Franklin Park, IL – Community members came together, February 7, in a powerful action to honor the lives stolen by the racist terror of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Over 25 people gathered at Casa DuPage Workers Center in Wheaton, for the collective construction and decoration of three altars for the martyrs Silverio Villegas González, Renee Good, and Alex Pretti.

Chicago protest on the one month anniversary of the ICE murder of Renee Good.

Chicago, IL— Hundreds of protesters gathered in downtown Chicago’s freezing wind on Saturday, February 7 to honor one month since the murder of Renee Good at the hands of ICE and to demand justice for those killed by ICE. The protest was called by the Coalition Against the Trump Agenda in response to a national call for action from the Legalization for All Network.

Protest against ICE in Portland, Oregon.

Portland, OR – On February 1, over 1000 Portlanders protested outside of Portland City Hall to stand against the killing of Alex Pretti, Renee Good and all those murdered by ICE, and to demand city government revoke the permit for the Portland ICE facility. The protest, organized by Portland Contra Las Deportaciones marched two miles from city hall to the Portland ICE facility.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson with Frank Chapman of the Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression.

Chicago, IL – On Saturday, January 31, surrounded by community activists who have been in the streets defending immigrants against the occupation by ICE troops, Mayor Brandon Johnson signed a historic executive order.

The executive order makes Chicago the first city to require the police to investigate and refer federal agents for criminal prosecution of felony violations.

Milwaukee, WI – On the afternoon of January 31, more than a dozen activists gathered together at the call of the Milwaukee Area Labor Council, and in response to a National Day of Action, to protest the inaction of Target around ICE. The protesters marched together into the store located in West Milwaukee singing “Which side are you on, Target, which side are you on?” before gathering near the entrance to read a letter addressed to Target’s CEO.

Milwaukee vigil for those murdered by ICE.

Milwaukee, WI – On the cold evening of January 30, the Milwaukee Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression (MAARPR) held a vigil at All People’s Gathering Church. The space is not only a worship center but a historic refuge for victims of state violence, having supported the family of Dontre Hamilton when he was killed by police in 2014 at a park just two miles south. Once again, All People’s held space for stolen lives as organizers and community members mourned the nine people already killed by ICE in 2026.

Dallas protest after the murder of Alex Pretti.

Dallas, TX – On Friday, January 29, National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression – Dallas organized a rally and march against ICE murders in Minneapolis and across the country. The event drew about 1000 people, protesting the killings of Alex Pretti, Renee Good, Keith Porter as well as immigrants killed by ICE namely Geraldo Campos, Luiz Caceres, Luiz Cruz, Parady La, Victor Diaz and Heber Dominguez.

Trade unionists in Seminole, Florida demand justice for Alex Pretti.

Seminole, FL – On the morning of January 29, around 20 union members and community supporters rallied outside of Representative Anna Paulina Luna’s office in Seminole, Florida. The Florida AFL-CIO organized the event to demand justice and accountability for Alex Pretti, a Veterans Administration nurse and American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) union member who was murdered by Border Patrol in Minneapolis.

San Jose, CA – On January 24, In the wake of the killing of the two community observers in Minneapolis by ICE – Renee Good and Alex Pretti – CSO (Community Service Organization) San Jose organized and rally and march that took over 200 people to the streets in solidarity with Minneapolis, demanding an end to the ICE terror and to deportations.

Madison, Wisconsin protest against ICE murders.

Madison, WI – On Tuesday, January 27, over 1000 students from UW-Madison and the surrounding area joined Madison Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) to protest the murders of Alex Pretti, Renee Good and Keith Porter by ICE agents. Students rallied for ICE out of the Midwest and demanded that UW-Madison be made a sanctuary campus.

Huge protest in Green Bay, Wisconsin after the ICE murder of Alex Pretti, who grew up in Green Bay.

Green Bay, WI – On Sunday, January 26, over 1500 people took to the streets of Green Bay to march in protest of the execution of Alex Pretti and the ICE occupation of Minneapolis. Despite freezing temperatures and bitter winds, Green Bay residents showed up en masse.

New York, NY — Over 1000 New Yorkers took the streets on January 27 after the execution of Alex Pretti by Border Patrol in Minneapolis a few days before. Since Pretti’s murder, hundreds of thousands of people around the country have mobilized despite a winter storm to defend their neighbors and fight back against racist attacks by federal agents.

Protesters march down the busy Canal Street in downtown New Orleans.

New Orleans, LA – On Sunday, January 25, the New Orleans Alliance Against Racist and Political Oppression along with the No Trump No Troops Coalition held an emergency rally and march for Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse who was executed by ICE in the streets of Minneapolis on Saturday. 300 community members and activists rallied at Lafayette Square demanding an end to ICE brutality and kidnappings, and to show support for Minneapolis.

“ICE and CBP have demonstrated over and over again, and with more and more hostility, that they will not change on their own. It is up to us, together, with our movement and our momentum, to make them change. To stop the killing. To stop the raids. To get the hell out!” said JJ Drummond from the New Orleans Alliance.

Nurses pose outside Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy's office.

New Orleans, LA – On January 26, nurses and community members gathered in freezing temperatures outside of Senator Bill Cassidy’s office. They demanded that he vote against increasing funding for ICE in a spending bill that is up for consideration in the Senate.
