St. Paul, MN – On the evening of February 6, hundreds of protesters gathered outside of Governor Tim Walz’s mansion. The event, organized by The Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee (MIRAC), was held to demand that elected office holders do not sell out for ICE.

Chicago, IL – On Friday, January 30, over 80 University of Illinois at Chicago students walked out of their classes and rallied in the quad in support of the people of Minneapolis and their current battle against ICE following the murders of Renee Good and Alex Preeti.
Billings, MT – The Billings Alliance for Immigrant Rights held a protest at the Yellowstone County Courthouse on Thursday, January 29 in honor of Alex Pretti, who was murdered by Customs and Border Protection agents in Minneapolis. Over 100 people turned out to support BAIR's demands that the Billings police department not sign a 287(g) agreement, justice for all victims of ICE terror, and legalization for all.
The Trump administration has praised the federal agents for their crimes and labeled civilians who fight back as “terrorists.” While the rally was called to protest the injustice of Alex Pretti’s murder, BAIR shared other stories of victims of state-sanctioned violence.
Baton Rouge, LA – On Thursday, January 29, students at Louisiana State University (LSU) gathered on campus to unite against the most recent escalation in ICE violence after the murders of Renee Good, Keith Porter and Alex Pretti. Progressive groups from all over Baton Rouge came together to fight Trump’s attacks and resist ICE terror.
Indianapolis, IN – Indiana state legislators listened to five hours of testimony Monday, February 2 concerning Senate Bill 76, a draconian law that will legally compel public and private entities in Indiana to cooperate with federal immigration authorities in their campaign of terror. The supporters of this bill were outnumbered four to one by opponents, a telling indication of how few actually support Trump’s crackdown. The bill succeeded in getting out of committee on a 9 to 4 vote.
Tacoma, WA – Marching from school into the street, over 100 students from Silas High School walked out in the middle of the school day on February 2, to demand an end to anti-immigrant terror. After a series of walkouts, including several that happened this same day, the students bravely continued the fight against ICE.
