The young Somali-American men on trial, Guled Omar, Abdirahman Daud and Mohamad Farah, are facing life in prison on the charges of conspiracy to commit murder abroad and material support of terrorism.
Minneapolis, MN – Paid informant Abdirahman Bashir continued his testimony, May 20, in packed courtroom at the Minneapolis Federal Courthouse, as the trial of three Somali youth who were entrapped by the FBI entered its ninth day. The cross examination of Bashir is expected to begin on Monday.

They are facing up to life in prison. The crowd was made up of family and friends of the defendants, civil liberties and anti-war activists.
Minneapolis, MN – On the 13th floor of the Minneapolis Federal Courthouse, the prosecutors of the three Somali youth entrapped by the FBI paraded a host of FBI and Joint Terrorism Task Force agents before jury, Tuesday, May 17, as they attempted to recover from the setbacks that attorneys for Guled Omar, Abdirahman Daud and Mohamad Farah, dealt them yesterday.
National mobilization underway for Odeh appeal hearing

Ft. Lauderdale, FL – Florida supporters of the prominent Palestinian American leader Rasmea Odeh are mobilizing people to attend her Oct. 14 appeal hearing in Cincinnati, Ohio. At the hearing in front of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, Odeh’s lawyers will challenge her conviction on a trumped-up immigration charge. Odeh is facing jail and deportation.

Minneapolis, MN – Twin Cites supporters of Palestinian American leader Rasmea Odeh scored a major success here, July 29, collecting well over $1000 to help her defense effort. About 50 people came together for a “Happy Hour for Rasmea” organized by the Minnesota Committee to Stop FBI Repression. The funds will be used to help get people to Cincinnati, Ohio, where it is expected that the oral arguments on Odeh’s appeal will be heard in federal court this fall.
