Minneapolis, MN – In less than a week, the Freedom Road Socialist Organization’s (FRSO) Spring Fundraising Drive has netted more than $17,000. FRSO aims to raise over $130,000 to hire more full-time organizers to work in our national office, grow our fund to purchase a building, and publish more revolutionary literature.

Given the rapid growth of FRSO, funds are being raised for a national office and staff, with the aim of carrying out a big leap forward in our efforts to build a strong, revolutionary organization.

Minneapolis, MN – Responding to Israeli Minister of Defense Gantz’s February 28 terrorist designation of the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, Charlotte Kates, International Coordinator of Samidoun, stated, “Israel – the Zionist state, is attempting to criminalize and label as terrorist any and all advocacy for the Palestinian political prisoners and the Palestinian people.”

Locked out Marathon worker speaks at rally before start of  car caravan.

St. Paul Park, MN – More than 75 vehicles joined a Valentine’s Day car caravan, February 14, to show support for members of Teamster Local 120, who are locked out at Marathon oil refinery after a one-day strike. Safety is the big issue. Marathon trying to contract out vital work at a lower cost, increasing the chance of major industrial accidents.

Thousands rally for Black lives, July 31, in Portland. "BLM" with fist was proje

Portland, OR – The chant of “Black lives matter!” echoed off the Federal Courthouse Friday, July 31, as nearly 3000 demonstrators assembled in downtown Portland. Federal agents and local police were not visible, but a number of protesters stated that agents remain inside the courthouse. Many rally participants were well prepared for an attack, wearing head protection and gas masks to lessen the impact of teargas and police projectiles. No clashes occurred.
