Los trabajadores UPS Teamsters organizan a sus companeros de trabajo.

Chicago, IL – Las negociaciones están en progreso entre el sindicato de la Fraternidad Internacional de los Teamsters y la empresa UPS ya que el contrato de cinco años, que cubre a 250,000 trabajadores, se vence el primero de Agosto. La quinta ronda de negociaciones empezó el 19 de Marzo y continuara hasta Abril.

Chicago, IL – Workers fighting back against economic inequality have something to be hopeful about. One of the largest and most powerful unions in the country, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, will begin mailing ballots early October for members to decide the next general president. Those fighting against concessions to employers and looking for a stronger worker movement are uniting behind Fred Zuckerman and the Teamsters United slate, hoping to unseat long-standing General President James P. Hoffa, Jr.

Milwaukee protest against attacks on Gaza

Milwaukee, WI – The declaration of a cease fire didn't stop 200 people from marching in downtown Milwaukee, Nov. 22, in response to a week of Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip. Protesters demanded the bombing of Gaza stop and called for an end to U.S. aid to Israel.

Milwaukee SDS sign says "Student Bailout not Student Debt"

Milwaukee, WI – If high level administrators and the resigning chancellor thought the education rights movement at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) would go away this year, they are wrong. School began at UW-Milwaukee with an energized and well-attended speak-out on education rights. Organized by Milwaukee Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), the speak-out announced new demands for whoever the next chancellor may be.

Milwaukee, WI – On March 11, over 70 students, professors and teachers assistants picketed outside the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee chancellor’s office, as several organizers met inside with the chancellor to demand that he drop the threat of academic punishment for the 16 student protesters who were arrested during the March 4 National Day of Action for Education Rights.
