Denver, CO – On Wednesday, March 8, the Freedom Road Socialist Organization hosted a rally at the Colorado State Capitol building to celebrate International Women’s Day. Two dozen people gathered to answer the call for an end to attacks on women’s and reproductive rights, including members of Students for a Democratic Society and the Denver-Aurora Community Action Committee.

New Orleans, LA – On March 10 members of several student and community organizations rallied in front of the Fifth District Federal Courthouse in New Orleans. They gathered to celebrate International Women’s Day and to speak out against the continuing attacks on reproductive healthcare and LGBTQ rights.

International Women's Day in Tallahassee, FL.

Tallahassee, FL – On Wednesday, March 8, more than 40 people rallied outside the Leon County Courthouse to defend women’s and reproductive rights and to commemorate the 115th anniversary of International Women’s Day. The rally was organized by the Tallahassee Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO).

Seattle, WA – On Wednesday, March 8, 40 people rallied in front of the Henry M. Jackson Federal Building in downtown Seattle to celebrate International Women’s Day and to defend women’s and reproductive rights. The event was called by Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) Seattle.

Orlando, FL – On March 4, members of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) and the Orlando Liberation Initiative (OLI) held a speak out to commemorate International Women’s Day, a holiday honoring the contributions of women to the people’s struggle. With attacks on reproductive rights intensifying, the activists gathered to speak on the history of International Women’s Day, the current state of the women’s movement internationally, and how to fight back against gender-based oppression, especially in Florida, which is leading the crusade against reproductive rights.

Chicago celebrates International Women's Day.

Chicago, IL – Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) held its annual International Working Women's Day celebration on Sunday, March 5. The program honored the women's liberation movement, as well as the women leading working-class struggles and fights for national liberation in the U.S., Palestine and the Philippines, among other places.

Austin TX SDS marks International Women's Day.

Austin, TX – On Wednesday, March 8, around 15 students at the University of Texas at Austin rallied for International Women’s Day. The rally, called by Austin Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), was held in front of the UT Tower.

International Women's Day march in Dallas TX.

Dallas, TX – On March 4, people gathered in a Dallas park to celebrate International Women’s day. About 80 people attended. After 11:30 am, as the crowd’s attention was drawn to one of the lead organizers, the speeches began. Jo Hargis, of Freedom Road Socialist Organization stated, “I’m here today to tell you that the only rights we ever had, are the ones we’ve fought for.”

International Women's Day celebrated in Tampa, FL.

Tampa, FL – On March 4, Tampa community members gathered to celebrate International Women’s Day. The protest was hosted by the Tampa District of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization. The protesters demanded for reproductive rights and an end to attacks on women.
