This protest was an emergency response to the announcement that the Supreme Court would overturn Roe v. Wade, the constitutional decision that effectively legalized abortion in the United States.

This action also came after recent events in Sheikh Jarrah, and the airstrikes of Gaza that have killed more than 140 Palestinians. The event was organized by Within Our Lifetime.
New York, NY – Around 400 people gathered in Union Square on a sunny afternoon of May 1, International Workers Day. Dozens of organizations based in New York came together to not only celebrate workers and our struggles, but to call for the general demands of unionizing and organizing all workers, immediate asylum for all migrants, abolishing ICE and stopping police terror.

The murder of George Floyd caused millions of people to take to take to the streets demanding justice.
New York, NY – Between February 8 and March 29, over 6000 Amazon warehouse workers in Bessemer, Alabama, are voting on joining the Retail, Wholesale Department Store Workers Union (RWDSU). On Saturday, February 20, there was a national day of action called by the Southern Workers Assembly, with actions taking place in over 50 cities across the country.
New York, NY – More than 50 people gathered in Times Square in New York City on Wednesday, January 20, in response to President Biden’s inauguration.

The crowd rallied at the 125th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard in Harlem, a neighborhood that has had a long history of Black revolutionary organizing. Along with the rally, others participated in a car caravan that passed by the rally.
New York, NY – By the evening of November 3, five rallies and actions had been called throughout the city for November 4. Progressive forces began calling events that ranged from “Count All the Votes” to a non-partisan indictment of both men running for president of the United States.
New York, NY – On September 23, the Louisville, Kentucky court system passed down the decision that none of the three cops involved with the murder of Breonna Taylor, a Black woman and emergency medical technician, would be indicted for her killing. Rather, they charged one officer with wanton endangerment for his bullets potentially putting her neighbors in danger.
New York, NY – Over 60 people gathered on September 20 in front of the Philippine Consulate to demand an end to martial law in the Philippines. The rally was held to commemorate the 48th anniversary of the declaration of martial law by Ferdinand Marcos, as well as to protest the human rights abuses committed under the current government of President Rodrigo Duterte.
