Fort Lauderdale, FL – Two dozen activists gathered together on the evening of June 4 to commemorate 68 years since the tragic event in Palestine known as al Nakba, or the Catastrophe. The Nakba is the name given to the forced relocation of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in 1948 from their homeland. The Israeli settlers forced Palestinians into occupied zones, crowded prisons, and refugee camps in other countries. Lufkin, TX – Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) in Lufkin organized a forum, April 20, to inform the community about the case of Palestinian activist, Rasmea Odeh. Odeh is a 69-year-old Palestinian American activist who was brutalized and tortured by the Israeli government and is now being targeted by the U.S. because of her activism.

Minneapolis, MN – On April 9, 30 people braved a cold spring day to protest U.S. aid to Israel on the 68th anniversary of the Deir Yassin massacre. Protesters held a banner saying “End aid to Israel! Free free Palestine!” and signs at the intersection of Lake Street and Nicollet Avenues and then marched to the Deir Yassin memorial on the Greenway in Minneapolis. The protest was organized by the Minnesota Anti-War Committee.
