Reports say Syrians killed in poison gas attack
Washington D.C. – According to an Aug. 2 news report from the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), “Seven civilians were killed and 25 others were injured due to terrorists attacks with rocket shells on residential neighborhoods in Aleppo, including one attack which used shells containing toxic gas.”
The U.S., reactionary Arab states such as Saudi Arabia, along with Israel, fund, train and arm a host of brutal sectarian groups that are trying to destroy Syria’s government. These sectarian groups have been losing ground over the past year. An attack using toxic gas indicates desperation on their part.
A combination of popular support from the Syrian people and assistance from Russia and the Lebanese resistance has strengthened the position of Syria’s government.
