Protest planned at Trump’s Minnesota fundraising visit
Minneapolis, MN – A protest is planned against Republican candidate Donald Trump, who is slated to come to Minnesota for Aug. 19 fundraising event.
“Donald Trump is a human rights catastrophe for immigrants. His threats to increase border militarization and deport all undocumented immigrants amount to ethnic cleansing, and compel us to do everything we can to stop him. That's why we will mobilize as many people as possible to protest his fundraiser in Minneapolis on Aug. 19. Minnesota says 'Dump Trump!'” said Brad Sigal, of the Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee’s (MIRAC) No More Deportations campaign.
MIRAC was one of the organizations that participated in the anti-Trump protest at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland this July.
