New York, NY - On October 18, over 100 activists and community members, representing nearly 20 different grassroots community organizations, packed The People’s Forum in Manhattan for an evening of solidarity and resistance. The event, titled “Defend People’s Struggle: A Conversation on State Repression,” kicked off the East Coast leg of the Justice for the Tampa 5 speaking tour. It centered activists who have been directly targeted for arrest and trumped up charges as part of the increased state repression facing organizers.
San Jose, CA – On October 15, around 3000 protesters in San Jose gathered at the intersection of Winchester and Stevens Creek, waving Palestinian flags and signs. With heavy traffic on the road, they yelled chants like “Gaza, Gaza don’t you cry, Palestine will never die.”
Tampa, FL – Hundreds of members of the Palestinian community and other progressive activists came out on October 17 in response to the vicious and barbaric bombing of Al-Ahli al-Arabi Hospital in Gaza by the Israeli occupiers. A spontaneous call was made by members of the community to rally, and several hundred came out on a two-hour notice to chant and march in the Temple Terrace neighborhood of Tampa Bay.
Austin, TX – On Sunday, October 15, over 2000 Austinites rallied in solidarity with the people of Palestine in front of the Texas Capitol building.
Dallas, TX – Approximately 3000 people marched through the streets of downtown Dallas n Sunday, October 15, chanting, “Free Palestine!” and “End the siege on Gaza now!” These are the largest protests Dallas has seen since the George Floyd marches in the summer of 2020.
Grand Rapids, MI – Hundreds gathered in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan on October 15 in the afternoon to support the Palestinian resistance against Israeli apartheid. They joined a worldwide solidarity movement in response to the Israeli government's retaliation against the Palestinian resistance launch of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
Dallas, TX – On Saturday, April 8, over 150 members of the Palestinian diaspora and allies gathered at The Grassy Knoll at Dealey Plaza to protest the recent Israeli attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Al-Aqsa Mosque is the third holiest site in Islam and the attacks came during the height of Ramadan. Israeli forces have killed more than 90 Palestinians so far this year.
Columbia Heights, MN – On April 8, over 250 people marched on Central Avenue in Columbia Heights to demand an end to Israeli violence against Palestinians and an end to U.S. aid to Israel.
Hamtramck, MI – On Saturday, March 25, the Detroit City FC, a soccer team, played their home opener at Keyworth Stadium against the Indy Eleven. For this game, the Detroit Celtic Supporters Club (DCSC) called for a Palestinian solidarity protest and called for fans to bring a Palestinian flag to wave. This was due to Israel – the Zionist entity – banning the waving and public use of the Palestinian flag in Palestine.
