On Feb. 16, the immigrant rights group LUPE (Lucha Unida de Padres y Estudiantes) calls all defenders of immigrants and their families to protest the first wave of Trump’s raids.

Washington D.C. – The Secretary General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, stated Feb. 12, that he was not worried about a “foolish” president occupying the U.S. White House. Hezbollah is a large, progressive, anti-imperialist political party that organized the defeat of an Israeli invasion in 2006.

Another legal defeat was handed to Donald Trump, Feb. 9, as the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals rejected his administration's request for the reinstatement of the executive order banning immigrants from seven Arab, African, or Muslim-majority countries. Late last week, a Seattle judge had instituted a nationwide restraining order against the Muslim ban, which halted its implementation across the entire U.S.

Jacksonville, FL – Over 300 people gathered outside the Duval County Courthouse on Jan. 31 to call for the repeal of President Donald Trump's anti-Muslim refugee ban.

At noon on Feb. 9, a day after the Army Corp of Engineers reversed its decision and gave the go-ahead to the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL), 150 people gathered in downtown Saint Paul to denounce this ruling. After a brief rally, the activists marched through the streets chanting, “You can’t drink oil, leave it in the soil,” “1, 2, 3, 4! Pipelines, genocide and war. 5,6,7,8! America was never great,” and “Mini wiconi, water is life.”

Over 900 people took to the streets during pre-Super Bowl actions in Houston to protest the reactionary agenda of Donald Trump. Demonstrators came from many struggles, particularly the immigrant rights and anti-racist movements.

“No wall no registry, no white supremacy”

Activists in Oak Park, a suburb of Chicago, rallied 400 people today, Feb. 4, to make their village a strong sanctuary. They urged the village trustees and mayor to keep their word and adopt a Welcoming Village Ordinance that would protect immigrants. The organizers opposed a previous proposal with deportation loopholes.

Hundreds of protesters took over the streets of downtown Miami Saturday afternoon. Feb. 4. The large crowd marched from Bayfront Park to the Miami Dade Courthouse behind a banner that read “Dump Trump.” The march was organized by the Anti-Trump Action Committee (ATAC), whose demands included; reinstating Miami as a sanctuary city, undoing the immigration ban, no construction of any wall along the border, and no use of nuclear weapons.

According to a Feb. 4 report from Iran’s authoritative FARS News Agency, a commander in the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, had harsh words for the Trump administration.

Thousands of protesters converged on the capitol, Feb. 4, to demand an end to Trump's Muslim ban and attacks on immigrant communities.

Hundreds gathered for a victory rally Feb. 2 organized by the Milwaukee Coalition Against Trump. Protesters celebrated their success in stopping Trump from visiting and holding a press event at a Harley-Davidson plant in Milwaukee County. Speakers at the rally celebrated shutting down his press event and put an emphasis on putting this momentum and energy back into the fight against his racist agenda.

More than 1000 people came out to protest in front of Senator McCain’s office in downtown Tucson, Jan. 31, to protest Trump’s latest executive action banning many Muslims from entering the country. Although the protest was spontaneously organized through Facebook by community members, given the recent nationwide outrage against Trump’s latest attacks against immigrants, Muslims and refugees, people from all backgrounds answered the call for mobilization.

Prosecutors “vindictive” after losing on appeal

Today, Jan. 31, the lawyers defending Palestinian American activist Rasmea Odeh moved to dismiss the new indictment that was brought against her in December 2016. The motion and supporting brief argue that the government’s “superseding indictment has substantially broadened the scope of the trial and the evidence that will be relevant and at issue.”

About 15,000 people marched through the streets of downtown here, Jan. 31 to protest Trump’s Muslim ban. The protest was organized by the Twin Cities-based Anti-War Committee.

The White House announced today, Jan. 31, that it would be canceling Trump's speaking event in the Milwaukee area on Thursday, Feb. 2. The news came after there was massive outcry against the decision, with the Milwaukee Coalition Against Trump (MCAT) spearheading the resistance.

Chicago, IL – For the second night in a row, protesters converged at Chicago O'Hare International Airport, Jan. 29, to say no to President Trump’s Muslim ban. The protest was called by the Arab American Action Network.

Washington DC – Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu hailed Trump’s plan to build a bigger wall and further militarize the U.S.-Mexico border, Jan. 28, tweeting, “President Trump is right. I built a wall along Israel's southern border. It stopped all illegal immigration. Great success. Great idea.”

Milwaukee, WI – About 300 people gathered here in freezing temperatures Saturday morning. Jan. 28, to rally against Donald Trump’s executive order banning immigration from seven Middle Eastern and north African countries.

The Anti-War Committee has initiated an emergency response protest in response to President Donald Trump’s anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant executive orders. The demonstration will take place Tuesday, Jan. 31, 4:30 p.m., at the Federal Building, 300 S 4th Street, Minneapolis.

Salt Lake City, UT- On Jan. 19, 50 University of Utah students walked out of their classes at 11:50 a.m. to protest the Trump inauguration. The students marched despite a university-wide memo stating they will “not be excused.” Led by Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), they gathered at Library Plaza to speak out against Trump’s bigoted agenda and demand a sanctuary campus for undocumented immigrant students.
