Twin Cities video conference with Rasmea Odeh and her defense attorney
Minneapolis, MN – Twin Cities activists will host a live stream event with long time Palestinian American leader Rasmea Odeh and her defense attorney Michael Deutsch, Thursday, June 11
6:00 p.m., 4200 Cedar Avenue, in Minneapolis.
The event is one of the many that will take place across the U.S. June 11, the day after an federal appeal is filed on Odeh’s behalf. The live stream events will center on an update from defense attorney Michael Deutsch on the reasons for the appeal and what can be expected in the upcoming legal process.
Rasmea Odeh, 68, was tortured by the Israelis in 1969. She was targeted for political repression by the U.S. government and put on trial last year. Unable to obtain a fair trial, where she could speak about the torture and rape by the Israeli occupation army, she was convicted.
The appeal will be heard in Cincinnati, Ohio, this September, at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.
The Minneapolis event is sponsored by the MN Committee to Stop FBI Repression and the Anti-War Committee.
