Minneapolis, MN – About 70 people gathered in south Minneapolis, October 26, to mark the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese revolution. Each year Freedom Road Socialist Organization in the Twin Cities organizes an event to celebrate the “Two Octobers,” the victories of the Chinese and Russian revolutions.

Mick Kelly, a national leader of Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) and editor of the newspaper Fight Back!, told the crowd, “It is a real honor to be with you this evening to mark the 70th anniversary of the Chinese revolution. In October of 1949, the outstanding Marxist-Leninist, the main architect of China's revolutionary process, Mao Zedong, would proclaim in Beijing, ‘The Chinese people have stood up.’”
