Twin Cites emergency response protest to Israeli airstrikes on Gaza set
St. Paul, MN – An emergency response protest to Israel’s May 26 airstrikes on Gaza will happen here May 29 at 4:30 p.m., at the intersection of the Summit and Snelling Avenues in Saint Paul. The action is sponsored by the Women Against Military Madness Middle East Committee and the Anti-War Committee.
Meredith Aby-Keirstead, of the Twin Cities-based Anti-War Committee, states, “Last summer we had the largest protests we've ever had in Minnesota against the war on Gaza. We want to use this protest to talk about how we need to continue to build a movement to take a stand against U.S. aid to Israel and that the U.S. should not be considering giving more aid to Israel the very week they are breaking the cease fire. Additionally, we've gotten calls and emails from folks who came out last summer saying they want to protest again!”
