Families unite to demand: Legalization for all, no Trump wall, no deportations!
Los Angeles, CA – On the afternoon of May 1, International Workers Day, Boyle Heights families, workers and students protested the Trump anti-immigrant attacks and raised the demand “Legalization for all” and “No Wall on the Mexico border!”
Los Angeles, CA – On October 26, as the caravan of refugees from Central America traveled through Mexico, they were welcomed with food, festivity, aid, and clothing. As Chicanos, we must do the same when the caravan arrives at U.S. border.
Minneapolis, MN – More than 50 people protested outside the Minnesota Republican Party headquarters in Minneapolis, Aug. 9, to condemn a massive immigration raid in southern Minnesota and Nebraska the day before, in which Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained around 140 immigrant workers.
Salt Lake City, UT – About 4000 people rallied here, June 30, to stop child detentions and for legalization for all. The protest was one many taking place across the U.S. in response to Trump administration’s attacks on immigrants.
Fort Lauderdale, FL – On May 1, local workers, immigrants, and union members will gather to demonstrate their support for immigrants, workers and public education. Workers and activists will gather at Huizenga Plaza in Bubier Park in Fort Lauderdale at 5 p.m. for a packed program. Organizers are calling this a family-friendly action during which there will be musical performances and food.
Tucson, AZ – Over 400 students from all over the country traveled to the Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan (MEChA) National Conference, held in University of Arizona in Tucson, March 18 and 19.
Los Angeles, CA – On the afternoon of March 8, at Boyle Heights Hollenbeck Park, located in the heart of the barrio, activists and community members celebrated International Women’s Day by demanding, ‘Legalize my mom!’ People of all ages were present.
San Jose, CA – More than 30 people gathered at the First Unitarian Church here, June 27, to participate in the Legalization for All Network (L4A Network) workshop. The workshop was one of many that took place at the U.S. Social Forum.
