Richfield, MN – Hundreds gathered in Richfield, March 1, for a protest and march to demand an end to the attacks on immigrants and to stand in solidarity with Minnesota immigrant and refugee communities. People showed their strong support through loud chants and a march to city hall.
Richfield, MN – On September 8, family, friends and community members honored Brian J. Quinones, who was shot to death by Edina police in Richfield on September 7. A vigil near the spot where he was killed, in front of Seasons Park Apartments on 77th Street, was followed by a march that went onto Interstate 494 and shut down traffic.
Richfield, MN – Around 100 people attended an informational workshop on July 22 to learn more about the ‘deferred action’ policy that will allow some undocumented youth to avoid deportation and to get a two-year work permit. The workshop, held at Assumption Church, was sponsored by the Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee (MIRAc) and La Mision.
