[Ladson, South Carolina rally demands drop the charges against pro-Palestine protesters. ]
Ladson, SC – On Tuesday, August 11, more than two dozen community members joined the Elbit Out of South Carolina (EOSC) coalition’s first mass rally outside Elbit Systems of America in Ladson since the arrest of three picketers, collectively known as the Ladson 3.
The rally began with a reading of a speech written by Haley Sabados, a member of the Ladson 3, who has been barred from the premises of Elbit since her arrest and is actively fighting her trespassing charge.
Ladson, SC – On Tuesday, July 28, during the Elbit Out of South Carolina’s (EOSC) weekly picket in front of the local Israeli-owned weapons manufacturer, Elbit Systems of America, three picketers, collectively known as the Ladson 3, were arrested by off-duty North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) on misdemeanor charges. One picketer spent the night in Al Cannon Detention Center.
Ladson, SC – The Elbit Out of South Carolina (EOSC), a coalition of local grassroots groups, held a press conference on Tuesday, March 24, outside Elmec, Inc.’s office to announce Elmec as a new campaign target alongside their current target, Israeli based weapons manufacturer Elbit Systems. Elmec, a subsidiary of Elbit Systems, is an international defense company specializing in aerospace manufacturing.
Ladson, SC – On Monday, September 22, organizers with the Charleston Community Service Organization (CSO) hosted a rally demanding an end to racial profiling.
The Legalization for All network’s call for a national Weekend of Action and protests were planned across the country in response to the September 8 SCOTUS decision allowing ICE to implement racial profiling tactics.
