Greensboro, NC – Fifty people marched through downtown Greensboro on Aug. 27, past the offices of the Internal Revenue Service, to protest the federal policy of ‘tax and deport.’

Greensboro, NC – Students from colleges across North Carolina rallied Feb. 2 against a recent hate crime committed against three Palestinian students at Guilford College. The regional protest was organized by the University of North Carolina at Asheville Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) chapter and UNC-Chapel Hill Solidarity with Palestine through Education and Action at Carolina (SPEAC). UNC-Chapel Hill SDS helped to mobilize students for the demonstration.

Greensboro, NC – People from across North Carolina rallied here, May 10, to oppose the anti-immigrant Minutemen. The Minutemen are a racist militia organization devoted to armed patrols of the U.S-Mexico border, with the intent to ‘stop’ anyone crossing the border ‘illegally.’ They are touring the country to rally support for the anti-immigrant Sensenbrenner Bill (HR 4437) and are adamantly advocating a militarized wall on the southern border of the U.S.
