Sanctions against Iran, Russian and Venezuela are the result of 'spring fever' in the USA
Fight Back! is circulating the following article from the Anti-Globalization Movement (AGM) of Russia. The views expressed are those of Alexander Ionov, president of AGM.
This week the U.S. unilaterally imposed sanctions against Venezuela, Iran and Russia. Obama stated that continuance of sanctions against Islamic Republic of Iran is the result of “still very high threat for national security of U.S.”
For a person of a sound mind, it is obvious that the situation inside Iran is much more stable and predictable, contrary to the situation in Middle East. The region became a center of global terrorism and shadow economy. Spreading its dark wings between two countries, the most powerful and the largest terrorist group came to life. All these “changes”, so to speak, were the results of “coloured revolutions” immensely sponsored by Western countries.
The so-called “Arab spring” organized on U.S. funding casted the region into an ultimate chain of chaos and destruction, turning the Middle East into a greenhouse for terror. Yet, the United States dares to speak something about “threat to the national security of U.S.” from Iran.
It could be a lie and incitement, or the result of “spring fever” – a state in which mentally ill person gets excessively excited, during the springtime. A person with a delusion of being followed, also known as persecutory complex, feels all the time that somebody willing to harm him, and consequentially, is a clear and present danger. Normally such person gets prescription medicine, if not hospital confinement. But what if a whole government is mentally ill and is having a serious form of exacerbation? Who can set diagnosis and cure the patient?
There was a good reason for Obama to present sanctions against Venezuela, Russia and Iran altogether, at once, like if its synchronized. U.S. government attacks the countries with perspectives of development. It is clear that the sanctions policy targets the social stability in a state with “undesirable” government, in order to grow an ideology of fear and instability within the masses, to collect yet another “maidan”.
In 2009 Teheran held mass demonstrations under direct support of U.S. and EU government leaders, but by virtue of state authorities and social organizations, Iran evaded the “maidan”, yet unfortunately some people got hurt. Upon the capture of the “opposition,” the latter confessed receiving substantial financial support and detailed instructions from their American superiors, whom at that time were in Turkey and Iraq.
Coincidentally, the sanctions timing matched the beginning of new round of negotiations over the nuclear program of Iran, and that type of rhetoric shall not go unnoticed by Iran.
After the speech of Woodrow Wilson in the U.S. Senate in the beginning of 20th century, the U.S. government declared a crusade for the democracy worldwide, which turned into a Cold War. When the Soviet Union ceased to exist, the world became unipolar, but the ambitions of U.S. capital only grew stronger, targeting Eastern Europe and Russia.
When Vladimir Putin became president, many countries of Latin America, Middle East and Asia have stated that they only see themselves in the union with Russian Federation. It was a remarkable moment in 2012, when Russia used its right of veto in UN Security Council against the maleficent resolution that targeted removal of the constitutionally elected Syrian government, the way they did a year earlier in Libya.
Nations of the world struggle for global parity, seeing our future in multipolar world, no matter what the U.S. government or its satellites think about that. Today Russia plays the main role in consolidation of efforts to strengthen peace and develop stability in different areas of the world. We have an unique opportunity to unite our allies and work together on a parity basis, developing an economical and international relationship.
