Iran has captured more U.S. drones
Iran’s Fars News Agency reported Jan. 2 that the Iranian Army successful captured two more U.S.-made drones – one in 2011 and another a few months ago.
The report quotes Rear Admiral Amir Rastegari, “These drones were from 11th series of the RQ class, and one of them was hunted in Shahrivar [the month of Aug. 21-Sept. 19] 2011 and the other one in Aban [Oct. 22-Nov. 20] 2012.”
Rastegari also stated that much of the data contained in the drones has been decoded by an Army research institute.
The U.S. has been using drones to gather intelligence on Iran. Joe Iosbaker, of the Chicago-based Anti War Committee stated, “The U.S. is using drones around the world to spy and kill. The drones being used against Iran should be viewed as part of the preparations for a war on that country.”
