Iran brings down Israeli drone
Washington, DC – The FARS News Agency reports that Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force brought own an Israeli drone near the Natanz nuclear facility, Aug 24.
A statement from the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps noted that the IRGC “preserves the right of response and retaliation for itself.”
Israel often violates its neighbors’ airspace with spy drones. Earlier this week, Lebanon’s military reported sighting Israeli drones over its territory.
In recent years, Iran has captured a number of U.S. spy drones. For example in 2011, Iran captured an unmanned U.S. RQ-170 aircraft.
