Iran tells U.S. crossing red lines in Syria will have dire consequences
Chicago anti-war leader says U.S. government lies to justify wars
Chicago, IL – Iran’s Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri issued a blunt warning to Washington, Aug. 25, in response to U.S. moves to escalate its war on Syria.
According to the FARS News Agency, General Jazayeri stated, “The U.S. knows Syria’s red line and crossing over this line will have dire consequences for the White House.”
He also stated, “Each of the U.S. and Zionist regime’s accomplices in the terrorist war against Syria have faced problems and those who add fuel to this fire will not be immune from the nations’ revenge.”
In recent days the U.S. has moved naval vessels carrying cruise missiles closer to the Syrian coast and the Pentagon has issued statements that “options” for an attack on Syria are being prepared for President Obama.
Chicago anti-war leader Joe Iosbaker states, “Let’s be clear: International law does not support the U.S. bombing Syria, or for that matter, arming foreign-led armies in Syria. It’s a lie that international law would justify cruise missile strikes. The U.S. government has many lies that it tells people in this country to justify their wars, including the lie that the Syrian government has gassed its own people.”
