Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) went all out to support the march for community control of the police, led by the Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression.

Fernando Figueroa of FRSO explained, “FRSO helped bring trade unionists, students, African American and Chicano/Latino activists from around the Midwest and as far away as Florida to be part of the historic beginning of this new movement against police crimes.”

The group distributed more than 1000 copies of a statement supporting a Civilian Police Accountability Council, together with copies of Fight Back! to people in the march and to the crowds along the march route.
