Centro CSO rallies in support of refugee caravan
Los Angeles, CA – Community members and activists of Centro CSO held a rally and donation drive, December 1, in a busy street intersection of Boyle Heights to support of the Central American refugee caravan whose participants are currently seeking asylum at the U.S.-Mexico border in Tijuana, Baja California.
Chants and signs such as “Legalization for all,” “Jesús was a refugee” and “No human is illegal” were held by members of Arabs Against Hate and the Los Angeles Catholic Worker while the community stopped by and dropped off donations such as blankets, clothes, food and other personal necessities to be delivered to the southern border and given to refugees.
